Our Mother co-foundress Dolores Vazquez, was born in the year 1850 in the Hacienda de la Luz, Jurisdiction of Hueyotiplan, in the state of Tlaxcala in Mexico. While still young she frequently visited the Church of the Incarnation and had  Father Refugio as her spiritual director.

 

Seeing the spiritual qualities that she possessed and that she was most faithful to the grace of God, very prudent and discrete Father Regugito invited her begin a fundation of a new Franciscan Congregation together with Manuela Mendez and Maria de Jesus Maldonado. Our venertated Mother Foundress was named superior of this Congregation until the end of her days.
